Swimming lessons for children in Săliștea de Sus
From age 4, in groups of at most 6 children, with a physical-education and sports teacher, at the indoor pool on the Iza valley. Lessons from June to October, twice a week.
Children's lessons start at age 4 and are split by level: water confidence and beginners for those who have not been in the water yet, then technique for those who float and swim a few metres. Each group has at most 6 children, and the coach is in the water or at the edge, depending on the stage.
A lesson lasts 60 minutes and always has the same structure: 10 minutes of dry-land warm-up, then 50 minutes in the water, with breathing and floating exercises, work on one new element and a game at the end. Children come twice a week; those from farther away can do a double lesson on Saturday.
We do not train champions and we do not run competitions. We prepare children who feel safe in any water, from the pool to the river at home.

Water confidence and beginners
For children who have not been in the water yet: play, breathing under water, floating on the front and on the back.
- 02
Beginners
Gliding, front-crawl and backstroke kick, first arm strokes, first metres swum alone.
- 03
Technique
Front crawl and backstroke across the pool, then breaststroke and butterfly, turns and bilateral breathing.

Safety first, then technique
We work progressively: first the water becomes a safe place, then come breathing, floating and gliding, and only at the end the strokes. Each child advances at their own pace, and parents hear at every stage what has been learned.
- Water confidence first, without forcing and without deep water at the start
- Breathing and floating before any arm movement
- Groups of at most 6 children, by age and level
- The same coach at every lesson, not an assistant instructor

How the first visit to the pool goes
We know the first step can be emotional, for the child and the parent. Here is how simple it is.
Message us on WhatsApp
We propose a group suited to the age and level, at a time that works with school and the drive.
Arrive 10 minutes early
So there is time for the changing room, the shower and a few minutes to get used to the place.
Swimming kit
Swimsuit, cap, goggles, towel and slippers. If something is missing at the first lesson, we manage.
Tell us about the child
Any fear, condition or previous experience helps us adapt the lesson. Nobody is pushed into deep water.
The first lesson is about getting comfortable: the child meets the coach, the pool and the water, at their own pace.
What the child brings to the lesson
Five things to put in the bag before every lesson. The rest of the kit is at the pool.

- SwimsuitSwimming trunks or a one-piece swimsuit, not beach shorts.
- Swim capCompulsory in the pool. Silicone for older children, fabric for the little ones if they cannot stand silicone.
- GogglesChildren's size, with an adjustable strap. Without goggles a child keeps the eyes shut under water and learns slower.
- Towel or bathrobeA large towel or a bathrobe for after the shower, especially when it is cooler outside.
- Pool slippersCompulsory on the poolside and in the changing room.
- Kickboards are oursKickboards, noodles and the rest of the teaching kit belong to the school. Nothing to buy.
If something is missing at the first lesson, we manage. What matters is that the child comes.
The first lesson matters most. Let's get it right.
Tell us the child's age and what they can already do in the water, and we propose a group. The first lesson is about getting comfortable, no pressure.
